Customer Care Agent (m/f) - U.S

Job description

Staffbase is a fast-growing technology startup transforming the way that companies communicate with their employees through the world’s first employee experience platform. Founded in 2014 in Germany and backed by renowned investors, we’ve reached 100 happy employees with offices in Chemnitz, Dresden, and New York. We operate in an open and meritocratic code of culture.

Our growing list of customers worldwide includes the likes of Adidas, the NBA, Hilton and Audi. To keep up our momentum, we’re expanding to new locations, mastering new industries, and hiring new employees this year!

We just launched our US business last year, so it’s an exciting time as we tackle a multibillion dollar market. We take our goals seriously, but not ourselves! You might find us spending hours at the whiteboard as often as you’d find us taking a long lunch in the park. We’re looking to bring on board enthusiastic, intellectually curious teammates who will evolve with us on this journey. You’d be among the first 10 employees, so consider this a chance to be a founding member of the US team.

Your tasks include:

  • Provide outstanding service to our clients via prompt and value-adding interactions over phone, email and livechat
  • Take ownership of support tickets and be responsible for funneling them through all process stages until a resolution has been reached
  • Serve as product expert to help customers succeed with their employee experience platform
  • Proactively monitor open bugs and keep customers informed until resolution
  • Build creative demo materials of product to be presented by our sales team

We offer the chance to grow in a dynamic environment and to be part of our mission together with a passionate team, flexible working hours, and an attractive salary. We keep the office stocked with drinks and snacks, and host social events frequently. Every employee has a yearly budget of $1,000 + 1 work day for a personal development event of your choice (attending a conference, taking an online course, hosting a hackathon, etc.) or a $1,800 budget to work from our German office for a couple of days/weeks. You also get great health insurance options, gym credit and a Citibike membership.

  • You have 2–3 years customer service experience, ideally in B2B or startup environment
  • You are able to actively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders, e.g. Sales, Development and Account Management
  • You have a general understanding how HTML works or even better: already worked with HTML before
  • You have experience with Zendesk or similar ticket system (this is a plus!)
  • You have experience with Intercom or similar livechat system (this is a plus!)

We look forward to receiving your application.
