Communication Designer

Job description

Staffbase is an enterprise SaaS platform that helps HR and Communication leaders to transform their organizations into places where people feel connected and proud to come to work. Staffbase is the first employee experience platform to let employers and employees connect authentically, right through their mobile phone.

Headquartered in Chemnitz, Germany and we work in offices in Dresden, Cologne, Amsterdam, New York and in London! Our international team just crossed 130 happy employees from 14 nationalities and we have a rapidly growing base of customers that want to transform their employee experience. Founded 4 years ago, we have strong-growing revenue, and our customers love us.

We are looking for a Communication Designer with at least 1–2 years experience in graphic design, as well as an interest in marketing. You will support (and sometimes lead) a variety of projects such as the Staffbase website and newsletter, digital advertising, infographics, print ads, brochures, and sales decks.

You have a strong portfolio in visual design, and you know your work is about more than looking pretty (although that’s nice, too), it’s about the idea and the purpose. You’re a team player and you’re good at working and communicating with everybody, whether they’re designers, developers, content writers, etc. It’s a long list.

Does this sound like you? Then scroll down and apply.

Your tasks include:

  • Assisting the marketing team with the design and content of various marketing materials, as well as their distribution.

  • Collaborating with marketing and product teams to support the website.

  • Developing graphics for email marketing and social media initiatives that support company branding initiatives.

  • Collaborating with content writers and social-media experts in the development of visual ideas and creative solutions; collaborate and iterate based on feedback and testing outcomes.

Requirements

  • You have at least 1–2 years of visual-design experience.
  • You know how to use our tools (we work with Adobe Creative Suite).

  • You have strong skills in ideating and conceptualizing.

  • You have an eye for detail, and you can work independently.

  • You are a great communicator, whether dealing with technical or non-technical people—internal or external—in both spoken and written English. German is a big plus.

  • You have an online portfolio or PDFs of your work that can be shared.
