We are currently hiring for an Office Manager to join our international Operations team in Chemnitz.


For this role we are looking to hire a well organised and people oriented person who is highly motivated to work in an international start-up environment with previous ideally office-based, secretarial or customer-facing work experience. This position is to be filled immediately, full-time or part-time possible!


Your tasks include:

As our Office Manager, your top priority is to support fellow Staffbase team members with providing a great working atmosphere. You will ensure that the office is kept presentable and well stocked with office and kitchen supplies, you will form and maintain great relationships with relevant suppliers and a cost-conscious approach at all times.


  • Be the first point of contact for the company including front line reception duties

  • Answer the telephone and resolve enquiries from staff, public & business contacts

  • Provide administrative support for management

  • Process and organise collections and deliveries

  • Dealing with correspondence, complaints and other queries

  • Liaising with suppliers: cleaning contractors, building management

  • Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems

  • Help organising internal events


  • You have great planning and organisational skills

  • You enjoy interacting with a variety of individuals in person and over the phone

  • Great communication skills in German and English

  • You like being initiative, are able to prioritise, work independently with limited direction

  • You are used to take on several tasks at the same time and enjoy working in a diverse and busy environment
